Usually 1 slender, erect stem topped with a few sparse, deep blue-violet, bilaterally symmetrical flowers in an elongated stem; flowers are strongly 2-lipped. Leaves narrow to somewhat oblong. Sometimes sparsely hairy at the base of stems.
